Today Edmund shared about the quality of mercy. While righteous means giving one what one deserves, mercy means giving one when one doesn't deserve it. The stories about the richman seeing only himself in the mirror, the taxi driver sharing about his wife and family to the woman about to commit suicide, and the Christian photographer sharing God's love and care and thus bring the separated Jewish husband and wife back together after the hardship of concentration camps touched me greatly.

Yes. Lord I pray that I share what you've given me to all those around me, be it love, care, a lending ear, a word of encouragement, a helping hand. Amen.
